We’re building this campaign one conversation at a time.
Tonight at 5:30 PM, the City of Deltona is holding an important workshop at Commission Chambers — and I’ll be there.
The City Commission and Planning & Zoning Board are meeting jointly to discuss Chapter 4 of Deltona’s Comprehensive Plan update
— the section that determines how Vision 2050 goals become actual, enforceable policy.
This matters to every Deltona resident. We’re talking about:
Flood mitigation — nearly 22% of Deltona sits in a FEMA flood zone. The Theresa Basin alone covers 35 square miles of eastern Deltona, and we all remember how long the flooding from Hurricanes Ian and Nicole lingered into 2023.
Development pressure — who gets to shape how Deltona grows, and whether community standards have real teeth.
Long-range planning — policies set tonight will guide decisions for decades.
If you can make it:
Deltona City Hall
2345 Providence Blvd.,
Deltona.
Workshop starts at 5:30 PM,
joint session with P&Z at 6:30 PM.
If you can’t be there Watch Live
on Deltona TV
— I’ll be taking notes and reporting back.
This is your community.
These decisions belong to you.
